FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method for thermal testing of materials and items involves location and adjustment of position of heaters in respect to the item surfaces up to the irradiation of the latter, in the process of irradiating the item surfaces, the heaters are controlled according to the results of control by the temperature sensors of thermal action parameters. As per the invention the heaters are located in the form of a set of separate modules in relation to the item surfaces being irradiated, and in the course of irradiation their position is adjusted both independently and by mutual arrangement of separate modules by means of thermal action parameters. Herewith the irradiated item surfaces are subject to monitored and controlled action of power and dynamic loads and that of an oxidising medium.
EFFECT: higher validity of diagnostics.
