SUBSTANCE: data transmission device for near-field data transmission with a second-party device comprises a means of generating an electromagnetic wave designed to output an electromagnetic wave, and a transmitting/receiving means designed to transmit data by modulating the electromagnetic wave in accordance with data, and to receive data transmitted from the second-party device, by modulating the electromagnetic wave output by the means of generating an electromagnetic wave, or the electromagnetic wave output by the second-party device, as the other side of data transmission, wherein the transmitting/receiving means is configured to transmit attribute information which indicates the capacity to transmit data of the device itself, and receive attribute information which indicates the capacity to transmit data of the second-party device as data, and the means of generating an electromagnetic wave reduces the power of the electromagnetic wave output after receiving attribute information.
