SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a humidifier, in particular, a humidifier where water supplied from the tank into the tray is evaporated in the humidifying element. The humidifier contains a body, humidifying means and a tank for supply of water to the humidifying means; the tank is installed into the body in a lateral direction relative to the body supporting the tank supporting section; the supporting section contacts the specified spot on the tank when the tank is installed; the tank has the first projecting section (formed within the upper half area and projecting towards the main body side), the second projecting section (formed within the lower half area and projecting towards the main body side), a water port positioned under the second projecting section and a water supply valve mounted on the port for water from the tank; the first projecting section projects towards the main body side more than the second projecting section; the tank is designed so that to enable placement with attachment to the main body on the supporting section so that the distal end of the first projecting section is positioned diagonally higher while the water supply valve is positioned diagonally lower so that to enable eventual turning of the tank towards the main body. This invention solves the problem of provision for a humidifier wherein the tank weight loading affects the user in a less degree.
