FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in optical systems for reducing radiation bandwidth, including radiation from high-power diode lasers. The interference filter comprises a transparent substrate on which there is a multilayer system consisting of alternating transparent dielectric layers with quarter-wavelength optical thickness, made of materials with high and low refraction indices. The transparent substrate is in the form of a plane-parallel plate with a thickness which is a multiple of λ/2 and is used as an intermediate layer. The opposite surface of the transparent substrate is coated with alternating multilayer transparent dielectric layers with quarter-wave optical thickness with high and low refraction indices.
EFFECT: high performance of a narrow-band optical interference filter, simple design and reduced weight thereof.
