SUBSTANCE: invention relates to undercarriages of timber harvesting machines, mostly with a caterpillar drive, and can be used in the forest industry and forestry. In the proposed system of the undercarriage of a timber harvesting machine driving wheels are mounted on levers with the ability of rotation of the levers by means of actuators, such as hydraulic cylinders, in the vertical longitudinal plane. The levers are mounted on the axes of rotation of the levers of front and rear lever-balancer carriages, correspondingly. The actuators with one ends are pivotally connected to the levers of the lever-balancer carriages and with the other ends - pivotally with the levers of guiding and driving wheels.

EFFECT: increase in passing ability of the timber harvesting machine is achieved.
