FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: sporting rifle comprises a trigger and striking mechanism, a chamber, a fork element, a barrel, a butt, and the butt attachment means to the fork element. The chamber is connected to the fork element by means of a welded connection. The fork element comprises a projecting buffer. The buffer is fixed to the outer side of the fork element and is located behind the weld joint with respect to the position of shooting of the user. When mounting the fork element on the butt the buffer enters into the corresponding recess provided on the butt.

EFFECT: elimination of the problem of mechanical damages, increase in durability of the welded connection between the chamber and the fork element, providing a mechanically strong locking point, improvement of positioning of the chamber and the barrel relative to the butt.
