SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manual tools. Electric chain saw (10) comprises a saw chain (16), the main body (12) supporting the saw chain (16), an electric motor (48) installed in the main body (12) to drive the tool (16), the main on-off switch (20) controlled by the operator to actuate the electric motor, power supply circuit (42) coupled electrically to the electric motor (48) in order to supply power to the electric motor (48) when the operator controls the main on-off switch (20) for the purpose of the electric motor (48) supply and a moving element (26) intended to protect the operator's hands and fixed in the main body (12). The electric saw chain (10) contains additionally a detector (46) mounted in the main body (12) in order to detect the moving element (26) and the first switch (60) in the power supply circuit (42) in order to open and close the power supply circuit (42). The first switch (60) is designed to open the power supply circuit (42) when the detector (46) detects movement of the moving element (26).

EFFECT: noise reduction during operation of the electric motor.
