METHOD OF COAL CHARGE MAKING AND PREPARATION FOR METALLURGICAL COKE MANUFACTURING Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC C10B57/04 

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in metallurgy and coke-chemical industry. Method of making and preparation of the coal charge to manufacture the metallurgical coke contains making of the coal charge from first and second components by their separate dosing and mixing with further coal charge chipping. The first component of the coal charge containing coals of grades "ГЖО", "ГЖ", "Ж" and, optionally, "КЖ", is received at stage of coal grade "Ж" enrichment by introduction of coal grades "КС" and "КО" in quantities from 5 to 25%. The second component of the coal charge is created by means of the oil coke addition to mixture of coking coals with different petrochemical composition including grades "КЖ", "К", "КО", "КС", "КСН", "ОС" at stage of stocking and homogenization in stock pile. The quota share of the oil coke in mixture of the coking coals for joint homogenization in stock pile is calculated by equation Docm=[(Sspec-Sst)/(Socm-Sst)]*100, where Docm is quota share of the oil coke in stock pile of the coking coals, %; Sspec is required level of sulphur in stock pile during use, is specified based on conditions of sulphur content in coal charge and coke, %; Sst is sulphur content in coals making the stock pile without oil coke, %; Socm is content of sulphur in oil coke, %.

EFFECT: invention limits rise of sulphur content in coke, decreases expenses for desulphuration and produces coke with strength characteristics M 25 at level at least 82,0%, M 10 at least 10,2%, CSR at least 45,6%, and with low radiation capacity CRI maximum 36,4%.
