FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: pyrotechnic composition for white smoke generation contains, wt %: oxidiser - potassium chlorate 36-38, as chlorine-containing smoke-generator it includes hexachloroethane 12-16, ammonium chloride 33-30, as gas-generating organic fuels - urotropine 12-10 and thiourea 4-6, and as technological additive - aerosil 1-2. Invention provides generation of aerosol in form of dense white cloud, suitable for imitation of natural fog in the process of field filming, as well as for masking movement of machinery as it disperses electromagnetic radiation in visible range of spectrum frequencies (0.4-0.7 mcm).
EFFECT: composition is not hygroscopic and retains functionality for not less than 10 years of storage, charges can be sued without envelope, which extends possibility and range of its application.
