SUBSTANCE: method lies in simultaneous measurement of temperature and pressure at several depths. At that measurements are performed directly upon start-up of the well till stabilisation of temperature occurs in the well borehole within the period of time t defined as per the following formula t < V Q = π R 2 L Q , day, where V is volume of the borehole horizontal section within the range of pay thickness, m3; L is length of the borehole horizontal section within the range of pay thickness, m; R radius of the borehole, m; Q is well flow rate, m3/day.

EFFECT: improved accuracy in determination of flowing intervals in horizontal wells.
