SUBSTANCE: rank filter is intended for the rank processing of analogue signals and can be used in analogue computational systems as a data preprocessing facility. Each of the ten relators (11,…,110) of the rank filter contains a comparator unit (2), EXCLUSIVE OR element (3), closing and opening keys (41 and 42).

EFFECT: functionality expansion owing to the implementation of selecting of minimum, supraminimum, submaximum or maximum out of five analogue input signals.
