SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in wireless multi-access systems. The invention describes a method, a system and a base station for sharing or jointly using a GERAN (GSM EDGE Radio Access Network) mobile radio access network by a first mobile radio network operator and a second mobile radio network operator, the method comprising providing a radio access network for joint use by the first and second mobile radio network operators, wherein the radio access network has a first radio frequency channel and a second radio frequency channel, the first and second radio frequency channels having each a TDMA frame with eight time slots, wherein the first radio frequency channel has at least one first dedicated time slot which is permanently associated with the first mobile radio network operator, the second radio frequency channel has at least one second dedicated time slot which is permanently associated with the second mobile radio network operator, and the first and second radio frequency channels respectively have a plurality of shared time slots shared between the first and second mobile radio network operators.
