FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to production of long-length sandwiched bimetal large-diameter pipes. This process comprises crosswise welding of bimetal pipe billets. Bimetal pipes-billets are produced by winding of bimetal sheets-strips with clad outer and/or inner plies on spinning drum-spool. Length of said sheets-strips is defined by mathematical relationships. After winding, the ends are welded together over the radius. After removal from drum-spool, sheet-strip end is subjected to lengthwise welding as well as inner edge, sheet-strip seed end. Proposed plant comprises drum-spool, weld assembly, welding and milling section, drive and other required equipment. Note here that groove is made over drum-spool OD of specified geometrical sizes.
EFFECT: ruled out avalanche destruction, lower metal input, higher ecological safety.
