SUBSTANCE: system comprises an optoelectronic device with two telescopes and actuating devices for controlling the telescopes, CCD arrays mounted at the focus of the telescopes and special-purpose computing devices for processing images. Power is supplied by an electrical power subsystem. The system also includes satellite navigation equipment, gimballess inertial navigation subsystem, an on-board computer and an electrical power subsystem. Presence of built-in backup in all components of the system with their own means of monitoring and rectifying fatal failures enables to rectify fatal failures in components caused by time and the effect of heavy charged particles in space.
