SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of: transmitting a test number n to the input of a computer system; calculating Nn=(n2-n)/2; transmitting data to a division unit and calculating a value Nn/n; transmitting the numerical result to the input of a unit for testing a number for integrity/fractionality; if the number is fractional, the test number is composite, otherwise Nn+1 is calculated; calculating Nn+1/n and Nn+1/5 in the division unit; testing Nn+1 and Nn+1/5 in the integrity/fractionality testing unit; testing Nn+1 in an even-odd number testing unit; if Nn+1/n is an integer, and Nn+1 is even or Nn+1/5 is an integer, the test number is prime.
