SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to prevent or extinguish polar organic liquid and acetone fire with foam. The composition of a working solution of a foaming agent is prepared from fresh or sea water, with the following content of components, wt %: aluminium oxychloride - 0.50; ammonium sulphate - 0.20; sodium alkylsulphate-based surfactant - 0.40; acetic acid - 0.02; polymethylsiloxane PMS 200/0.65 - 0.03; water - the balance.
EFFECT: composition can be used with natural water of any degree of hardness and salt content when preventing and extinguishing fire, the composition being characterised by high resistance of the foam to spontaneous decomposition and heat resistance to a naked flame and enabling to avoid use of fluorinated surfactants which are hazardous water pollutants.
