FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: coulometric potentiostatic unit comprises a potentiostat, a potential adjuster connected to a first input of the potentiostat, a three-electrode electrolysis cell, a working electrode, which is connected to the common wire of the potentiostat, and a comparison electrode - to the second input of the potentiostat, the resistor converter "current-voltage" mounted between the output of the potentiostat and the auxiliary electrode of the cell, a polarity switching unit connected to the resistor converter "current-voltage", the voltage integrator formed by the integrating converter circuit of "voltage-frequency" with the pulse counter connected to its output, the units of recording and control, the first and the second decoupling resistors, the first and the second switches, and a reference resistor, at that the input and the common wire of the integrator of voltage are connected to the output of the polarity switching unit respectively, through the first and the second decoupling resistors, and the control inputs of the potential adjuster, the polarity switching unit, the first and the second switches, the voltage integrator and the recording unit are connected to the respective outputs of the control unit. The unit additionally comprises a monitoring device of the background current, comprising the third and fourth decoupling resistors and the additional integrating converter "voltage-frequency", the input and the common wire of the latter through the third and the fourth decoupling resistors are connected to the output of the polarity switching unit, and the output is connected to the recording unit.

EFFECT: opportunity to simplify the design of the potentiostatic coulometric unit, which enables to provide simultaneously the validation of the progress of the electrolysis process and the measurement of weight of the chemical element under study.
