FIELD: textiles, paper.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the textile industry, namely, to the method of production of flame-retardant cotton fabrics. The method comprises impregnating the crude fabric with flame retardant of synergistic action consisting of the inorganic phosphorus-containing compound based on ortho-phosphoric acid and the nitrogen-containing compound, and drying. Impregnating is carried out on a drying-tenter machine with the continuous manner using 160-240 g/l of the said flame retardant and 5-10 g/l of the wetting agent at least twice in the bath. The impregnation is carried out at a temperature of the working solution from 20 to 60°C and in air at room temperature, drying - at a temperature of from 90 to 120°C at a rate of 8 to 30 m/min.
EFFECT: invention provides the optimal reduction of flammability, lack of smouldering, avoiding the formation of drops of hotmelt, reduction of the process while maintaining colour, handle of fabric and its strength after finishing.
