FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gas generator clutch comprises units to transfer torque and axial interlocking between shafts in the form of moving elements set in annular grooves provided in the rear and front journals of the first and second rotors respectively. The interlocking elements moving in the annular grooves are made as spring-loaded segments and safety elements. The latter elements are located between the segments and interact with them. The spring contacting with the segments is made as a bush with axial vanes, installed and fixed at the front journal of the second rotor by fasteners. The inner surface of the tubular rear journal of the first rotor is profiled, expanding from the spring vane roots to the annular groove side and limiting the opening of the spring vanes.
EFFECT: expansion of rotation speed range for efficient clutch operation and reduction of contact stress.
