SUBSTANCE: device for controlling the fabric density on weft, comprising a housing, a position sensor of the reed, a measuring transmitter of the section length traversed by the fabric, a signal amplifier of the position sensor of the reed, a pulse shaper, a circuit "AND", a counter, a timer, a computing means, and a display, a signal amplifier of the measuring transmitter of the section length traversed by the fabric, a counter of sections, connected to the computing means, having an interface with a computer and connected to the electronic control system of actuating mechanisms. Behind the signal amplifier of the measuring transmitter of the control length a pulse shaper is placed, which through the counter of sections is connected to the setting device of a number of sections, the number of pulses on the section, the control length of the fabric and the length of a separate section of the fabric. The setting device is connected to the computing means, and in the housing of the transmitter of the control length of fabric an incremental contactless angle sensor of rotation coaxially with the drum is mounted, the dimensions of which correspond to the minimum resolvable angle of the incremental contactless sensor of the rotation angle.
