METHOD OF TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION OF INDUCTIVE POSITION SENSOR AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC G01B7/00 G01D5/20

Abstract RU 2555200 C2

FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measuring equipment. Essence of the invention: the values of active and inductive voltage component on the sensor winding are determined in a wide range of frequencies. The optimum winding power frequency is found from the condition that the inductive voltage component on the winding linearly depends on the position of the mobile element and has only an additive component of temperature error in the working temperature range. At the optimum frequency the active and inductive voltage components on the winding are determined, they are converted into DC voltages and used for forming from them of an output signal. The device contains a winding on the core in a conducting cylindrical housing, a mobile element enclosing it, designed as a conducting tube and an electronic module. The winding core is made of non-magnetic non-conducting material. The winding is powered by voltage of a certain frequency. The electronic module contains devices for separation of active and inductive voltage component on the winding, their conversion to the respective DC voltage and formation from them of a linear combination proportional to the mobile element position, with the coefficient the value of which is found in experimental way.

EFFECT: simplification of thermal compensation of the inductive position sensor, simplification of its design and reduction of its prime cost.
