FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: helicopter rotor blade stall detector incorporates fibre optical switching unit, light source unit, data storage unit, power supply, data analysis unit, spectral analysis unit and DAC, registration unit, detector, fibre optical connector and two or more fibre optical strain gages. Each of the latter has its own band of operating frequencies in light source radiation spectrum. Strain gages are fitted at helicopter swash plate fixed parts surface. Output signals of said strain gages vary subject to origination of rotor blade stall and transmitted to helicopter onboard registration unit. Stall stage detector is incorporated with pilot control board to inform about stall stages.
EFFECT: higher flight safety, reliable control over overloads at swash plate.
