SUBSTANCE: machine for linen processing and method of its operation are disclosed. The disclosed machine for linen processing comprises a tank, a drum mounted with the ability of rotation in the tank for accommodating the linen, a heater for washing, mounted in the tank, to heat the washing water, the first channel for washing water for supplying the washing water from an external water supply source into the drum through the container for detergent, a second channel for washing water for supplying the washing water from an external water supply source to the interior of the tank while preventing the passage of the washing water through the drum, the mode switch to select one of a plurality of modes of washing, and a controller for selective opening the first channel for the washing water or the second channel for the washing water in accordance with the mode selected by means of the mode switch.
