FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of staging an aerosol cloud using a missiles fitted with smoke generators in the head includes calculating coordinates of the point and time of beginning the staging of the aerosol cloud, the coordinates of the point of the end of the cloud and determining the number of missiles to be fired. The method includes determining, by a computer, aiming points for each missile and pointing angles of the launcher to fire each missile; performing a ship manoeuvre to take a position for firing missiles at a less hazardous distance from the opponent; guiding the launcher and firing the missiles; at a given point on the missile trajectory, separating the head with the smoke generator; parachuting; landing at the aiming point and launching the smoke generator; enabling operation of the smoke generator afloat for a set period of time. The time of completing the firing is the time of the end of staging the aerosol cloud by the ship.

EFFECT: enabling a ship to stage an aerosol cloud at the required point in space while maintaining a safe distance from the opponent.
