FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: contact graphite sealing of turbine machine rotor contains a contact bushing installed on the shaft, casing with lid, with located inside O-ring in form of segments, and with axial spring. The seal has ring cartridge installed in the casing with radial clearance, and continuous thrust graphite ring installed in the ring cartridge and being in contact with O-ring in form of the segments at the end faces, made conical relatively to the longitudinal axis of the shaft, and by the another end face the continuous graphite ring is in contact with the casing. The continuous graphite ring and O-ring in form of the segments are locked in the ring cartridge against their rotation.
EFFECT: seal simplifies design, and increases device reliability.
