FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: for control over aircraft descent a parachute system composed of braking and equalizing parachutes is ejected. Note here that, first, braking parachute is ejected fitted at fuselage tail section. Said parachute system is controlled by ACS connected additionally to gas turbine engine control system and cockpit rate-of-climb indicator. Note here that said ACS initiates the gas turbine engine reverse mode to develop higher braking force during final seconds before touchdown.
EFFECT: decreased weight of rescue equipment, lower shock force at touchdown.
