FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes first mixing soot powder with an aqueous solution of a primary aromatic amine in the form of a prepared concentrated solution of metaphenylene diamine or metatoluylene diamine in chemically treated water, which is acidified to pH 3-6.5. Before feeding into a granulator, the mixture is diluted with chemically treated water to working concentration of 0.5-2.0, preferably 0.5-1.2 pts.wt per 100 pts.wt soot, and then fed through the nozzle of the granulator into a stream of dusty soot. The ratio of soot to the solution is 1:1. The obtained wet soot granules are dried at 220-260°C and air access. The granular modified soot contains 0.15-0.40% bound nitrogen, including 36-58% in amine form, and not less than 0.6% oxygen. The polymer composition contains the following components, wt %: synthetic or natural rubber 40-65; granular modified soot obtained using said method 25-40; target additives 1-10; process additives - the balance.

EFFECT: polymer composition based on said soot combines high wear resistance with low hysteresis losses.
