SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communication. A handover procedure in a communication system enables a mobile device to be transferred from a home base station, connected to a core network through a home base station gateway, to another base station not connected through the home base station gateway. The invention provides a new extension to the handover procedure, wherein a home base station gateway is informed on the transfer of a mobile device.
EFFECT: freeing context and resources allocated to a mobile device in a base station gateway.
