SUBSTANCE: method of manufacturing a filtering mask-respirator comprises the following steps: providing a cup-shaped forming matrix 30; ensuring the forming chamber 24 in which the forming matrix 30 is located and into which the free fibres 22 are inserted in the air of the forming chamber 24; accumulation 10 of free fibres 22 on the forming matrix 30 in the forming chamber 24 and bonding 12 the fibres to each other at points of fibre intersection. According to the method the filtering mask-respirator is made, which comprises a mask body. The mask body comprises a fabric which is formed directly on the forming matrix, and a system of fasteners.

EFFECT: reduction of stages of the manufacturing process, the fibres are uniformly distributed throughout the volume of the mask body, and since the fabrics do not require cutting during the manufacture of the respirator, less wastes are produced.
