FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in the measurement method conditions of odd number multiplicity are introduced for values of superposition signals repetition rate and matches in entries of their positive and negative half-cycles, intensity of variable and constant components is assessed and compared for envelope of amplitude-modulated output signal with carrier frequency fS received upon extraction, detection and low-frequency filtration of AM signal considering intensity of constant component for correction output signal received at delivery to input of a measuring object of rectangular signal only without change in its peak value upon the same treatment as treatment of amplitude-modulated signal in order to receive the envelope. In the device intended for implementation of the above method there is rectangular signal generator, which comprises in-series limiting amplifier, differentiator, rectifier, programmable pulse counter converter and controlled attenuator; input of the rectangular signal generator is input of limiting amplifier, which is connected to output of harmonic form signal generator while its output is the output of controlled attenuator, which through the third switch is connected to input of the first low-frequency filter; there are also oscilloscope and measuring unit connected to output of a measuring object, the measuring units consists of in-series controlled matching unit, pass-band filter, linear detector and the second low-frequency filter, to which output voltmeter of average rectified valued of signal and the third voltmeter of average mean-square values of signal are connected.
EFFECT: decreased total measurement error and expanded functionality.
