FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device consists of a lens, a radiation detector array with a cooled diaphragm, an information processing unit, a positioning unit, a stabilisation unit and a calibration unit. The lens consists of, arranged in series along an optical axis, a first and a second lens group, a flat mirror, a stabilising lens and a third lens group. An intermediate image is formed between the flat mirror and the stabilising lens. The information processing unit, controlled by the calibration unit, corrects the inhomogeneity of parameters of photosensitive cells of the detector array and outputs the corrected image on a monitor screen. The positioning unit moves the first lens of the second group along the optical axis to switch viewing fields of the device. The stabilisation unit moves the stabilising lens perpendicular to the optical axis to stabilise the axis of sight and calibrates the device without losing the image of the object.
EFFECT: high reliability and accuracy of detecting a target and determining coordinates of said target.
