FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: refrigerator includes a housing with a storage chamber, a cold air duct, a pass element, a photocatalyst sensitive to visible light, a light source and a light conductor. Cold air flows via the cold air duct, and this duct is interconnected with the storage chamber. The pass element is made from heat-insulating material and includes a section of the cold air duct, which is located in the cold air duct and via which the cold air flowing via the cold air duct flows. In the pass element there is a through hole located between the section of the cold air duct and the storage chamber. The photocatalyst is located in the section of the cold air duct so that cold air contacts the photocatalyst. The light source is located near the photocatalyst and emits visible light to the photocatalyst. In the section of the through hole there located is a light conductor that directs the light emitted by the source towards the storage chamber. The refrigerator includes a storage chamber, a cooler, a fan, a photocatalyst installed on the cold air circulation trajectory, a light-emitting diode for supply of light to the photocatalyst, and a control unit for activation of the light-emitting diode.
EFFECT: improvement of energy-saving characteristics of a refrigerator with a photocatalyst.
