FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: photoplethysmograph with adaptive correction of the constant component comprises a pulse generator, a light source, a photodetector, a current-to-voltage converter, an alternating voltage amplifier and a synchronous demodulator. The device additionally includes a digital-to-analogue converter, a differential amplifier, an analogue-to-digital converter and a microcontroller. The output of the synchronous demodulator is connected to the non-inverting input of the differential amplifier and to the second input of the analogue-to-digital converter. The output of the digital-to-analogue converter is connected to the inverting input of the differential amplifier. The output of the differential amplifier is connected to the first input of the analogue-to-digital converter. The output of the analogue-to-digital converter is connected to the input of the microcontroller. The output of the microcontroller is connected to the input digital-to-analogue converter.
EFFECT: use of the invention increases the speed of correcting the constant component in a photoplethysmograph which detects the arterial blood pulse signal.
