FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to portable water purification device. The latter comprises housing with closed top surface and exposed bottom surface. Said housing comprises first stepped section with ID and OD at housing bottom end are stepped and decreased. First section with insert groove is deepened along said ID and OD at outer end of the first stepped section for first fastening ring to be fitted in the first section with insert groove. First section with guide ledge extends upward along the housing top end section. Second section with guide ledge extends as a ring at the housing top surface central section. Third section with guide ledge features OD spaced from second section ID surface with guide ledge and extends upward as the ring so that OD at third section top end with guide ledge gradually increases and, then, decreases in curved shape. Housing gas also the water feed section with ID smaller than that of third section and is deepened downward. First section with ledge for filter installation is stepped. Multiple first and second water feed orifices are regularly spaced to allows radial water flows there through. Bottom cover has locating ledge. Drain orifice extends vertically through bottom cover central part. Filtering element comprises top and bottom disc-shaped locating holders.

EFFECT: smaller sizes, ease of assembly and disassembly, simplified filtering and removal of sediments.
