SUBSTANCE: gravure printing machine and the method of obtaining a cigarette paper having fire retardant bands are claimed. The machine comprises a device for printing fire retardant composition, consisting of a shaft of the printing press and a rubber conjugate roller, and the fire retardant bands are printed on the cigarette paper using the printing for device fire retardant composition. The machine also comprises a drying device and a press device. The drying device comprises a drying cylinder located downstream relative to the shaft of the printing press and the rubber conjugate roller. The cigarette paper initiates close contact with the drying cylinder after passing through the point of contact between the shaft of the printing press and the rubber conjugate roller. The press device comprises an upper pressing roller and a lower pressing roller located parallel to the upper pressing roller and in contact with it. The cigarette paper passes through the contact point between the upper pressing roller and the lower pressing roller.
EFFECT: in the claimed machine the likelihood of deformation and wrinkling of paper is reduced, and the thickness of the coating formed by fire retardant bands is also reduced.
