FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of purifying fluorine-containing waste water and can be used at enterprises producing wet-process phosphoric acid and sodium fluorosilicate based on fluorosilicic acid. The method of purifying waste water from fluorine is carried out by treating said water with lime milk to achieve pH 9-11 in the presence of calcium sulphate, or calcium chloride, or phosphogypsum, taken in an amount which provides weight ratio of calcium and fluorine of 0.3-0.6:1, followed by separating liquid and solid phases by settling and filtering.
EFFECT: method increases efficiency of purifying waste water containing fluorine and sodium compound impurities.
