SUBSTANCE: invention claims horizontal steam generator for nuclear power plant that comprises a cylindrical body, two ellipsoid bottoms, at least one tube for water feed and steam discharge, inlet manifold and outlet manifold as well as bundle of heat-exchanger pipes connected to the above manifolds, at that quantity Nhep of heat-exchanger pipes in the bundle is selected from the claimed dependency of outer diameter of this pipe dhep, moreover value of the gap between neighbouring heat-exchanger pipes in vertical direction does not exceed value of vertical pitch between heat-exchanger pipes in the bundle.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of heat transfer in the volume of steam generator with simultaneous limitation of quantity and length of heat-exchanger pipes thus allowing usage of pipes produced by the industry on commercial basis.
