FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: compound for isolation of water inflows in gas wells contains the following components, wt %: reworked sodium silicate Monasil N-28 - 6-9, citric acid - 6.0-12.6, water - the remaining share. Ratio of weight parts for reworked sodium silicate Monasil N-28 and citric acid is 1:1.0-1.4 respectively. The make-up method for the composition for isolation of water inflows in gas wells includes preparation of aqueous solutions of reworked sodium silicate Monasil N-28 and citric acid, and their further mixing. Mixing of solutions is performed by adding aqueous solution of the reworked sodium silicate Monasil N-28 to aqueous solution of citric acid with gel formation time within range of 1-12 hours, at that ratio of weight parts of the reworked sodium silicate Monasil N-28 and citric acid is equal to 1:1.0-1.4 respectively.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of water shutoff operations and increased period of isolation due to development of destruction-resistant water shutoff screen in the reservoir and higher strength.
