SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, particularly to a transgenic plant for producing haploid offspring. Also disclosed is an isolated expressing nucleotide structure, comprising a promoter operably linked to a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide, where said polypeptide comprises a heterologous amino acid sequence of at least 5 amino acids linked to a histone tail domain linked to the N-end of a protein, comprising a CENH3 histone fold domain, wherein the heterologous amino acid sequence is heterologous to the CENH3 histone fold domain, or a histone tail domain linked to the N-end of a protein comprising a CENH3 histone fold domain, where the histone tail domain is heterologous to the CENH3 histone fold domain. The invention also relates to a method of producing plants which are characterised by half the ploidy of the parent plant, which expresses the endogeneous CENH3 protein, as well as a method of producing transgenic plants.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain haploid offspring efficiently.
