FIELD: woodworking industry.

SUBSTANCE: single-piece loading of long logs is carried out. The long log is moved on the longitudinal conveyor. The assortment plan is set as percentage of assortments in a long log. Measurement of the length and diameter in the middle of the length of the assortments is carried out by successive survey of the photo-cameras included in the operation. The photo-cameras are located above the longitudinal conveyor at an angle of 90° and connected through a local network to the communication processor. The processor is included in the controller mounted with a power unit inside the control cabinet. The coordinates obtained from the photo-cameras are converted into digital values. The digital values are entered into the program, where on the discrete model of section dependence of the relative length from the ratio of the current volume to the total volume of the long log the length of the boundaries of dimensional zones are determined. The saws are set at a predetermined distance. Then the long log is bucked for a predetermined length.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of bucking.
