FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: objective lens with an offset entrance pupil consists of three components. The first component is a single positive meniscus which faces the image by the convex side. The second component is glued from a biconvex lens and a negative meniscus whose convex side faces the image. The third component consists of separate biconvex and biconcave lenses on a beam path. The radius of the seventh optical surface on the beam path is greater, by magnitude, than the radius of the eight optical surface. The radius of the second optical surface on the beam path may be equal, by magnitude, to the radius of the fourth optical surface.
EFFECT: high image quality and longer back focal distance.
