FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: softener consists of reservoir with ion-exchange resin, vessels for reagent, pump, flowmeter, flow breaker with consumption control, two dip flow switches, control unit, reverse valve and connective pipelines. Claimed softener makes it possible to form not only cold water, but also hot. Its dimensions make it possible to place two softeners (for cold and for hot water) simultaneously in sanitary-technical cabinets of city flats. Vessel for reagent can be placed in rooms, adjacent to lavatory. Control unit, tracking instantaneous water consumption and transmitting proper control signals to flow breaker with consumption control, ensures optimal parameters at each stage of ion-exchange resin regeneration.
EFFECT: economy of reagent and water, considerable reduction of time for carrying out regeneration.
