FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: alternating current electric drive comprises an asynchronous motor, a thyristor voltage converter coupled between the stator winding of the motor and supply networks, a stator phase current sensor and a voltage sensor coupled to the same phase of the asynchronous motor, a control unit, which output is coupled to the control input of the thyristor voltage converter and input is coupled to an output of a rotation speed regulation unit, which one input is connected to a rotation speed setting unit. The second input of the rotation speed regulation unit is connected to a simulation model of the asynchronous motor in two-phase fixed coordinates, which output is connected to the first computational unit of a resultant current module, which is coupled to a closure error computational unit. The second stator phase current sensor and voltage sensor are coupled to another phase of the asynchronous motor. To the first and second voltage sensors the first coordinate conversion unit is coupled, and an output of the latter is connected to the simulation model of the asynchronous motor in the two-phase fixed coordinates. The first and second stator phase current sensors are coupled to the second coordinate conversion unit, to which the second resultant current module, the closure error computational unit, the load moment estimation unit, the simulation model of the asynchronous motor in the two-phase fixed coordinates are connected in series.

EFFECT: estimation of the asynchronous motor rotation speed within the whole range of speed regulation with low error.
