FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: claimed engine comprises outer housing, centre body, air duct, at least the first stage of air compressor, turbopump and subsonic turbine. The central body is connected with said outer housing by structural links to make therewith an air intake channel. Air compressor first stage comprises the first turbine arranged in said central body and the first rotor with vanes located in air duct to be selectively actuated by the first turbine for operation in turbojet mode. Besides, it can be changed to feathering position to operate in ramjet mode. Turbopump comprises the pump fed with liquid nitrogen from hydrogen tank for hydrogen feed into the heater located in outer housing behind the central body. Pump drive subsonic turbine receives the hydrogen collected at the heater outlet and partially expanded. The hydrogen collected at the heater outlet and partially expanded is transferred to the first turbine composed by supersonic turbine for operation in turbojet mode. Hydrogen escaping from the first supersonic turbine is, then, collected in the first pipes inside the central body for feed into combustion chamber composed inside the housing behind the central body. The hydrogen partially expanded in subsonic turbine is forced directly into combustion chamber by means of fuel nozzles for operation in ramjet mode.
EFFECT: ruled out application of liquid oxygen, compact and simplified design, decreased weight and perfected performances.
