FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: method of boosting bypass turbojet engine consists in supply of start-up fuel into main combustion chamber. Start-up fuel manifold is located in zone of secondary air of main combustion chamber. Preferably, compressor rotational frequency and pressure drop on turbines are maintained constant.
EFFECT: method increases efficiency of engine in boost modes and reduces overall dimensions of afterburner.
