FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: positioning and solar tracking system for concentrator solar power plant containing platform with concentrator cascade modules, azimuthal rotation subsystem, zenith rotation subsystem, power unit, platform positioning control unit with memory unit containing micro controller unit, optical solar sensor, photodetectors of which are made in form of cascade solar cells, first electric motor speed sensor, second electric motor speed sensor.
EFFECT: system provides tracking of solar disk with required accuracy, regardless of weather conditions and keeps its own energy consumption to minimum by eliminating of optical sensor triggering during its illumination from light spots in clouds.
