FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, namely to measurements of air flows and can be used for detection and compensation of error of measurement of air velocity and determination of wind velocity at the height of aircraft flight. Invention consists in method for determination and compensation of error when measuring true air velocity by readings from satellite navigation system and comparing the calculated wind velocity results with the value measured by means of air velocity meter. Comparison results in functional value evaluation. Then by minimising functional by Newton method, i.e. by recurrent method horizontal components of wind speed and measurement error with further compensation are defined.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of determining error of calculated air velocity.
