FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of construction materials, to devices for measuring cutting of continuously moving plastic bar into billets of bricks or other ceramic articles. Disclosed cutting machine for plastic timber comprises a housing, a support table for timber, a body with a vertical cutting string and a crank-and-rocker mechanism for moving body. Crank mechanism is connected to a rotary drive, controlled by signals of beam speed meter. Rocker arm is fixed on a support table capable of swinging in a plane parallel thereto. Connecting rod connecting crank and rocker arm is designed as a spatial figure, having at least one connection from remote nodes connecting rod with a yoke and crank point made in a plane parallel to plane of supporting table, moving along a path in form of figure eight. At said point, connecting rod is attached to body with cutting string so that centre of figure eight, described cutting string, falls on middle beam, edges are outside its scope, and axis is perpendicular to beam.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at designing a simple, light-weight and reliable drive for moving cutting string.
