FIELD: ceramic industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of silicates and ceramic mixtures for making brick. Ceramic mixture for making brick contains, wt%: high-melting clay 70.0-75.0; quartzite 5.0-10.0; faience fragments 15.0-25.0. Components are dosed in required amounts and separately milled till powdery condition. Prepared components are mixed, mass is wetted to 18-26 %, and bricks are made using plastic method, dried to moisture of not more than 6 % and annealed at 1,260-1,220 °C.

EFFECT: technical result is increasing in frost resistance of brick.
