FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: claimed balancing of gas turbine engine revolving assembly (33) involves the removal of the stator blade (56) from the gas turbine (10). Removal of the stator blade allows the access to the gas turbine engine revolving assembly. Claimed procedure comprises the mounting, removal or rearrangement of the balancing weight at said revolving assembly owing to the access thereto provided by the removal of the stator blade. This allows the decrease in the length of gas turbine engine (10) compared with the engines incorporating the assembly for direct mounting of the balancing ring.
EFFECT: decreased the floor area.
